I have a K750i and I've been trying to convert video's so I can watch them on my phone.
I'm using this guide, http://spawnweb.dk/recode/k750.htm.

Everything is fine until I get to step 11. When I click Nero Digital Settings and check the box "Expert Mode", only one profile shows and it's AVC encoder; no MPEG-4 encoder shows up under profile.
Somebody please help me, this is driving me craaaazy.

Thanks

You have to install it separately, nero does not come with mpeg4 encoder.

Ok, thank you for your response. Is there one in particular I have to use? Or can I just search on google and install one?

I assume you don't have the MPEG 4 plugin, if thats the case you will need to get a MPEG4 key from Nero to activate the plugin.

Xilisoft 3GP converter is very user friendly so try that out.

I looked under video drivers and it shows that I have a MPEG4 encoder/decoder installed.

I give up. Every program I've tried won't let me convert, they always say "failed"

Have a look here. Follow the links to mpeg4. Let us know if it worked for you. I have not tried it as I do not find the idea of watching films on a mobile phone very appealing - screen too small you know...

To create videos specifically for the K750 mobile none of the information you have gotten so far in this thread is correct

Its really very simple, follow the guide you linked to in your first post from spawnweb exactly, and remember in the second step of the guide to select the Mobile profile, not the Mobile-AVC profile.

PS: Nero does come with mpeg4 encoder, it comes with everything, you just need to activate each plugin by entering a corresponding serialnumber for each plugin you want to use. If you are able to select the very first stage of the guide "Recode DVD's and Videos to Nero Digital" then the Nero Digital (mpeg4) plugin has been correctly activated by a serialnumber and you can select either the standard mpeg4 mobile profile (to use for K750) or the mobile-AVC profile (to use with future phones supporting the newer H.264 AVC mpeg4 codec)

To seem less numb, I should have said:
albeit the information given soforth is not wrong as such and does try to offer help, it is not the right answers in respect to the specific problem as experienced by the original poster.

better ?

Mpeg-4 is Nero Digital and it wont show up as anything else but Nero Digital.... gimmick....

http://forum.digital-digest.c[....]13&highlight=nero+recode+guide

read that and forget what else you think you may know about encoding/re-encoding there are many more guides in how to no other forums come close in regards to subject....

these apply to any platform that supports given formats.....
