Does anyone have a problem viewing gIF files on their W800? When i go onto the file brower, and view the gifs, the phone turns into a slug. Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

Any ideas

thanks all

Yes mate, if its a big gif file it has to be saved onto the phone memory. Try it and you should notice a big difference.

it there a way to move all the gifs off my memory card to my phone memory, in one move? or do i have to do them all 1 by 1... Theres lots and access time on them is awful....

Yeah, you can do it it one move,

Open Windows explorer,

Click on Sony Ericsson File Manager as in Pic,
Open up the phone memory which should be the in the same format as your MS Duo Pro,

Then its just a case of selecting all of you gifs and dragging and dropping them onto you phone memory.

Hope this is clear enough, I know I would never be a good teacher

Nice one dgilmartin! Youre a saint.

Will ahve to wait 30mins till i get home from work, but i'll be doing it straight away...... I only have the Windows drivers installed on my works pc (donot wanna put on the bundled software that came with the phone), so i can only access the memory stick in work

Thanks tho, hopefully my phone will be running quick again.

one last question if you dont mind mate, does some themes make your phone also run slower? im talking about the themes that are packed with aniimations and other stuff?

thx!

No Probs, Glad to help! They shouldn't really slow it down very much, I have themes that are over 1MB and I hardly notice the difference. What Firmware are you running?

No that won't void your warranty, but you've got the latest firmware for UK customers anyway so your ok. Hopefully once the UK firmware update is released they will iron out any of the bugs eg, slowing down and restarts.

@leeboy13

your able to access both phone memory and memory card via bluetooth via OBEX file transfer...

Works just as well without having to install the bundled software... [addsig]

You could have simply choose to move them all to the phone or memory stick by simply selecting MORE / MARK / MARK ALL and then choosing to move them all to your desired memory and location..

No need to wait till you get home.
