Network Internet? |

Hello does anybody know? I was placing my phone on it's dock to charge and sync it with my pc. My pc is connected to an internet connection. At that time I was also testing Opera which I just installed on my phone. When I open a website the phone didn't ask me to choose which connection to use also it didn't place the globe internet icon at the bottom of the screen in my phone but I was able to surf the net. My question is did my phone just use the internet connection on my PC? |

Have you got activesync installed and was that working?
If yes then it is pretty normal for that to happen...
You can Activesync via BT too...

I think it is on since in the PC taskbar i can see the <---> icon moving... so basically I don't get charged by the mobile service provider for anything when I'm connected to the pc and using opera? |

As long as it is in activesync no.... opera or not.... can you sync via BT?
Click on the icon on the taskbar and make sure it is insync...

If by insync you mean the <--> is not looking like <-//-> but moving like a snake <----> then i guess they are in sync. I tried with a BT dongle but can't figure out a way to start the sync |

The arrows move wilst the two sync up when they are synchronized it stops and if you bring up the active sync window it should say yourdevicename CONNECTED.
to Sync up via BT you must seach the available services via the PC and set up a BT active sync connection if your phone supports it...
This BT activesync is possible with ActiveSync version 3.8/4.0/4.1
I have had reports some versions of the 4.0 wont allow a wireless or BT connection... The wireless is impossible on 4.0 but BT is possible only if is inniciated via the device first...

Yup it's synced!
The BT method is a bit complicated. Sometimes I can sync but most of the times I can't. Will try your advise. |
