my PHP/MySQL skills getting better. built this whole thing in only a few hours from pure scratch!
I just added a bunch of new text jokes and images.
later, i'll add funny pictures. and the browse doesn't do anything yet, sorry!

Excellent concept! I noticed that the random jokes function keeps throwing up the same joke though ;-)

random jokes work perfect for me, just to comment, used both my k750i and p910i and site works well. nice basic site gives fast load times and low browsing costs due to low data transfer. keep up the good work dude, defensive

that's exactly what i was going for. fast load times and for it to be as intuitive as possible. i hope it worked. if not, let me know how i should improve it.

yeh it worked, also am liking the option for text only, saves me waiting to see some pics that cost more to view. only comment or suggestion i can give you dude is more original jokes amongst some good ol' classics. p.s. can i just ask how your hosting it and what software you used to design and coding was used, cheers defensive

i'm hosting it with 2mhost. just a basic PHP5 plan with MySQL. I coded the whole thing in PHP and store the content in a MySQL database.
I coded the display logic of the site to be xHTML Mobile Profile for phones; but will later when i have more time implement WURFL so it can autodetect WML/xHTML/HTML capable devices and display proper content for all of them.
as for software...notepad and an FTP client!
