Operator has something to do with firmware. CDA related |

Hi.
As I was trying to update my W800, wich has a CDA of CDA102430/105 - W800i Generic Generic Argentina, Latin America, when I get to the verification it says that there is no service for the operator, and then, in the SE it says that the operator doesn't approve the use of the service...
Well, my questions are:
1) Has the operator something to do with that? I'm in Argentina, operator is Movistar and CDA as stated above. If the operator is related... then where is it "stored"? In the firmware? I though only the CDA was verified for upgrading...
2) If operator is involved... how could I update the firmware? Wait, and another (localized) will be released?
3) Any way to bypass the operator verification, if that's the problem?
4) What about 'red', 'brown', etc. firmware? What do the colors mean? What updating with DaVinci? Is that a paid service?
Thanks in advance and hope that someone kindly will help me to update it! Also, let me know if you have the same CDA and share your experiences.

here is an interesting post made earlier today which shows many, if not all, CDA for W800. This list includes yours but as you can see it is certainly operator specific.
online update services such as davinci have the ability to change your CDA if you are prepared to pay the cost and take the risk and void your warranty etc etc

Yes, I read that post (actually, I copied & pasted the description from there!)
But no... I wouldn't even consider paying for DaVinci, but... what should I do then? Should I wait and maybe it will be released? Does SE releases different operators firmware in some time? Or it's only one?
Thanks
