hi, i'm new to this site so sorry if this stuff has been posted before, i did look but could not find anything to do with what i wanted.
i have recently done a master reset prior to installing new firmware and could not back up the games. so after this i downloaded this game from the web, though it has a different title and no picture. can anyone tell me in detail (sorry lol) how to edit the java files. i followed some other instructions i found and went into the manifest etc, but when i try to install the game it becomes inaccsesible and does not work.
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx

For editing pics and sounds in games, I use WinRar. It opens jar file and it shows all files in game, but that depends on game developer. If you know the name of that pic, or that sound, just, extract that pic or sound, and than, edit it, and replace it in jar file. I hope you understand! Good luck!
Cheers!

well thanx for the reply 'djordje1yu'. though maybe i have not really explained, its quite hard. i'll go through what i am trying to do and the process a found on the internet. [*] = small icon picture when looking at games menu.
[*]Aero Mission 3D - what the original file looked like on my phone.
AM3D [Terjef] - no picture. this is what it is like now.
i want it to look like the original. on another site it said to, and this is what i did, change the .jar file to a .zip. double click on that and find the 'manifest' file. i did. the instructions stopped, so i had to continue myself. the following is what it says in the manifest file:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
MIDlet-Data-Size: 44
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.1
MIDlet-Name: AM3D [terjef]
Created-By: 1.4.2_06 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
MIDlet-Vendor: [terjef]
MIDlet-1: Aero Mission 3D, AeroMission3D.png, AeroMission3D
MIDlet-Version: 1.0
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0
i tried to edit the 'midlet-name' thinking it would change the name, but when installing the file, i stops and says something like operation canceled or something. i can't install the game...
thanx for any more help.

hmmm.... I also changed that game a little, and I succeeded to change the name, I also change the manifest file, but it works normal... I didn't convert the jar file to zip. I recommend to you that you don't do that too. Just open the jar file with WinRar and you will see everything like when you changed to zip.... I tried several times to change from jar to zip and than from zip to jar, but none of that attempts was successful.
Here is Aero Mission 3D edited by me (MML_killer), it has serbian name, and I changed the logo, and added serbian flags to the planes. You could just return old (normal) planes, change manifest file, and logo (just don't change resolution), and if you don't convert it to zip I guarantee it will work perfectly.
