Hi Folks, I want to get my K750i unlocked (locked on Orange at the moment) so I can use a South African PAYG SIM card. Does anybody know anyone who I can post my handset to ? As I can't be 4rsed to buy the cable and do it myself. I've had a good search on the internet and many of them seem to be remote services where you have to buy a cable and then buy credits for unlocking, and many of them advertise they do it but say they can't when you ask them :/

Any advice gratefully accepted

Thanks
Matt

I've done loads of phones with davinci, never given me any jip. Just got their cable in the post today (ordered it at the weekend for €20) and had my W800 done inside of 10 minutes.

I'd offer to do it for you, but you have no reason at all to trust me

Really, mate, it's well worth just buying the cable and DY'ing it

The cable is €25 according to the site, if I was going to do several phones I could justify buying one ! plus then I need a €10 credit.

No too bad I suppose, but if I were going to do this I may as well upgrade to the W800 firmware as well - does that need I need one credit to unlock and another to do the W800 upgrade ?

1 credit to unlock, and 1 to upgrade the firmware.

If you buy the credits first you get €5 off the price of the cable. Cable + 2 credits = €39 = £27.

Look at it this way:

cost to post it to someone = £3.60 (RMSD)
cost for them to post it back = £3.60
cost of 2 logs = €19 = £13
total = ~£20

Not much in it. Charge all your mates a tenner for unlocking and you'll quickly make up the difference.

If you're determined to have someone else doe it, I'd be happy to do it at cost.
