i just switched from being a nokia user to a SE user (k750i). i love everything about my phone except for one thing.... considering i have an asian model... i don't have the multi-character search feature!! and its driving me crazy!
is there any way to get around this like maybe installing EU firmware? is the EU models capable of typing/displaying chinese characters? what if i did the 750i - w800i upgrade?
pls someone help me get this straight once and for all. |

To my knowledge the european version does not support chinese characters, but it does not support multi-character search either i think so you better just get used to that annoying non-feature and stick with the firmware you have now. |

most unbranded eu firmwares have multicharacter phonebook but sadly no chinese langpack. hope that clears it!!!!
not sure if possible and if you dont mind spending credits for testing but you could ask gsmen from davinci to make you chinese cst file and you could customize it to eu firmware.
then again its possible that the customization itself does not have multicharacter search.
i was able to flash asian main and euro fs with no adverse effects, kept it for about week so i see no reason why using just cst should either.
one note:
customizations for r1l firmwares so updating to r1n035 through seus deletes languages but t9 stays.
as i said if you have credits to test this even if it doesnt work the way you want you can always flash back to asian r1l
