K700i receiving messages |

I am having problems receiving messages with my SE k700i. I am receiving messages 48 hours later than they are sent to me. I have signal all the time. This problem has only been present over the last few weeks. I phoned O2 (network provider) and they have sent me a new sim card. However, I am still having the same problem.
Are there any ideas as to why this problem might be occuring or how I could solve it? Any comments would be very much appreciated as my life revolves around my phone. Thanks in advance. |

i think it's nothing to do with your phone, the service provider's message server might be jammed or something. anyway not much i can think of that would help, i usually just switch my phone off and then on again but i don't think that helps either. |

Some of the earlier O2 branded K700is had this problem - how old is your phone, and is it an O2 branded one?
A firmware update via the SE update service may well fix your problem

o2 had huge problems with the k700! I had mine replaced twice and then changed to an s700. It was a problem with the software. I'd suggest going to a SE service center and they can flash the latest software that should rectify your problem

When i received the replacement sim card, I put it into the phone and received 20 messages instantly. O2 have tried to push the messages through to the phone, but on no occassion does this work.
I have just put the sim card into me old mans phone and the messages are coming through. He has an old nokia.
If the sim card replacement didn't fix it o2 wanted the mobile phone sent in for repair. I can't really see how the phone is at fault tho. |

It does sound like the phone. There was a lot of threads and posts here not long after the k700 came out about this, it's a firmware issue with O2 branded phones.
It sounds more like this is your problem after you said that it works fine in your dad's Nokia. Either take it to get it's firmware updated, or buy a Syncstation and do it yourself if you're feeling brave!
