Hey!

When I fast forward the video on my K750, even if the movie is 5 minutes long, pretty often I get a message that the movie is terminated, it never doese that except when I fast forward it or rewind it ... whats up with that? I'm scared to ask whats gonna happen to 45 minute - 1 hour minute movies.

Also I've been looking for answers on the ESATO forum for whether there is some other media player that I could put on my 750, but didn't see any answers to that, maybe some one could point me the right way?

Thanks a bunch.

The FF and RW functions of the media player are a little unreliable. Videos can be FF or RW easily if the video is of a low quality. If they're good quality, they tend to crash more.

As for another media player, unless you can find a Java one that can access the media files on the phone, you're out of luck. I certainly cannot think of one.

it may be a case of waiting for a firmware update

I doubt it. Its been like it since the first edition, R1A, and 3 versions later it still does it.

Does that happen to ALLl the videos you have? FF and REW of videos on my K750i works fine. I have R1N035. I tested on 3gp and mp4 videos and they all FF/REW okay, unless it's the 3gp vids created for mms sending that are about <10 seconds long, only those terminate when I use FF or REW. Have you tested FF/REW on the Demo Tour clip? Does it terminate too?

It happens to the videos that I had converted or recorded with the phone, didn't test it on the Demo video yet, but I assume it's gonna have the same outcome.

i hope you find out what's wrong. so far mine works ok on any video (except of course the really short ones), whether downloaded, converted or shot with the camera. if it only happens to the converted ones, maybe it has something to do w/ the format & codecs.

I fully agree and this is probably the case with this buddy. once I had this problem with a converted .wma audio .mp4 file. I played it in the media player and it crashed at some point. When I upploaded the file, now converted to mp3, everything was just fine.
Never had any problems with videos, long or short.

yup. i guess my short vids (the ones for mms sending) cant ffwd because there's not enough material to fast forward to, so it goes to the next track.
