Ordered my w800i on tuesday (27th September) and the lady assured me that it was in stock and will arrive within 3-5 working days. Today it still didnt arrive so i rang up customer services. I was told that it was not in stock and would have to wait another week or so. What annoys me more is that they didn't even email or phone me that i would have to wait longer as it wasn't in stock!

o2 customer service is really poor at the moment!

i agree on o2 having poor customer service
i tried to order a w800i last week and they told me it wasnt in stock and they didnt know when they would get more, so i ordered a k750i (even though they said it wasnt in stock eiter but they were receiving stock soon)...... phone arrived next day!!
probably would have got the w800i if i had ordered it anyways... but saying that, im very happy with the k750i
still not sure about the w800i housing

well if you'd only call down to your local o2 store things would be much easier (or should be much easier). Even if you are an o2 online customer you can upgrade your contract and keep the same deal but get your phone from an o2 branch. Its definitely an easier way. Plus you actually get to see and speak to a person.
