W800 and iSync on Mac |

OK I'm almost there. The phone talks to iSync and syncs iCal items just great .. my problem lies with the address book.
I'm able to add a contact to the address book that will then transfer to the phone just fine, but when I add contacts to the phone directly then Sync again it doesn't pull them back into the address book.
Is that normal? Or is there something I'm missing?
Thanks!

What version of Mac OS X and iSync are you both using?
Also, check out my site (below) - an answer may be there... |

I'm on OS X 10.4.2, iSync 2.1
..it's odd. When I delete all my address book contacts on the Mac and Sync it blows away the majority of the contacts on the W800 but not all.
Should iSync take changes from my phone and import them into the address book? Or does it only Sync one way?
...will check out the site

Sounds like you may need to reset the iSync history. Click on "Reset Sync History" in iSync Preferences

Hi Jools64. Iīm running Mac OS X Tiger 10.2.4. I cheked your site, and wow, it was really fancy. Also downloaded the tiger theme for my phone. Hope thatīs ok... really liked it.. best one i have seen so far, and itīs hard for me to be away from my mac Actually, i found out that the only option i do not have, is to answer the phone from my computer. But that function is not any "must have", and iīm sure that will be fixed in the next upgrade from Apple (just got an preliminary upgrade, plistfile from someone at the norwegian mac forum... Everything else seems to be ok
Well thanks any way.... At least i found out that your page is full of useful resources if thereīs something i should be wondering about when it comes to mac - se issues |

With the Address Book hack from my site it appears you can't Answer a call or send a call to Voicemail however, Caller ID, sending and receiving SMSs and dialing numbers does work.
This would suggest that Sony Ericsson have changed the AT commands for doing these functions and they would need updating in the "ABDeviceCommandSets.plist" file. I will check the K750 White Paper at some point to see if this is possible.

Does this hack work for the W800i too?
I've added the new string to the plist file and the option to call/sms from address book is still greyed out. I tried adding 'W800' and 'W800i' and neither worked.
Cheers,
Adam
PS: The reset sync history tip worked a treat ! |

Yes, thatīs the experience i have. The ability to sync is intact, and same with the sms option. But on my Z600 i could push the answer button on the option screen on my mac for incoming calls and then used my deskspeaker (SE CSS-20) to talk. Thatīs whatīs lacking now with my K600i to mac. Canīt get the ID of the incoming calls either.
It would be very appreciated if thereīs a way to fix these issues |
