adjusting gprs connection speed |

i've just changed my gprs connection speed from 9600bps to 14400bps under settings. but i'm just curious about whether it'll actually make any difference. tried downloading some files and compared the time taken. they're about the same really. so i'm assuming it depends on the service provider? do all service providers cap theirs at a standardised speed?

Well, no idea whether that really works. Try refering to the other thread on similar topic. Gprs data speed. |

i never noticed any differences, guess cos it depends on the network itself.

### i agree. The wap speed ultimately depends on the network speed.. .

so that means regardless of the speed i set, it doesn't make any difference? or it'll only make a difference if i set it at a speed lower than that set by the network provider? or makes no difference at all? thanks for all the info!
