I could ask you... whats the point of posting this thread?

there are hundreds of threads telling you that if you can't get what you want from SEUS then you go to services like Davinci and see what non standard methods they have available

and no, you will never be able to update the W800 (while it is still recognised as a W800 - i.e. not converted to a K750) using the K750 SEUS

Great post Masseur. Now you feel my pain with these countless repeat threads that simply take up time and space(on the server). The lack of searches and purely simple questions about the easiest of things to figure out such as this thread. Since when is a W800 a k750i? Some people should not have phones if they are too complicated and too difficult to operate.

N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here?

I guess I have a much higher tolerance due to my strong desire to help our members solve their problems, and not everyone is forum literate... they simply want their problem solved.

However this topic does not require a search (although I am very happy with the search since I always find what I want ) for the simple reason that there are many threads every day discussing these non standard firmware update issues

Is that a W800i with a K750i firmware?

Same guy posted firmware files for R1N035 in this thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=104199

Mukka, can you tell us whether this is a red or brown firmware and how you managed to get a hold of it? I'm downloading it at the moment but I'm a little sus as to how you can get a retail firmware for a w800 before SEUS does, since in my understanding the red firmware needs to be taken off a new phone that has never been turned on before.

If this is the real deal then thank you very very very much.

Sorry for the suspicion, but one of the R1Ls turned out to be R1J with the version string hacked.
