What I'd do is buy yourself a card reader if you can and just drag n drop your tunes from your pc to your audio folder on ya card

or just use the cable that comes with the W800

(put songs in the 'mp3' folder on the memory card.)

when you use the cable (with drivers installed), you should get a drive letter in "my computer" or on your desktop if you use mac. In that drive you will find a "mp3" folder. Just put the songs in there.

That should work fine - if it doesn't then specify the problem a bit more...

You have to put the songs in the MP3 folder in this way:

MP3 [folder] / 'Artist' [folder] / 'Album' [folder]. This means that you have to the songs in this folder structure, otherwise the Walkman function won't find the songs.

well that's bizzare....

On the k750 you only need to put the songs in that folder - doesn't matter what folders or subfolders you use.

The reason is that the Walkman function enables you to sort songs by artists, albums and songs. The K750i doesn't let you do that.

So if you just put the songs in the mp3 folder you can't even see them? It doesn't create a default playlist or something for those songs? No wonder peeps think they need disc2phone....

that means you can make playlists on the computer by putting songs in folders and copying to the mp3 folder on the phone - making mockery of peeps claims that you can't make playlist's for the W800.

You could use itunes "organise music" function to make it work with AAC (since disc2phone uses mp3)

Yes, you can see them, but only through the Filemanager, not the Walkman function.

Transferring them into the mp3 folder through the supplied USB cable takes ages! Would a bluetooth dongle be quicker than the cable? Or is disc2phone any quicker as I've not installed it yet?

Oh and like the original poster says is there any way of transferring albums/playlists directly from iTunes? Is there anything out there that makes it think your phone is an iPod so it will sync with it?

You can also put songs in the 'MSSEMC/Media files/audio' folder as well as the 'mp3' folder and the walkman will see them as well as any in the 'mp3' folder. They still have to be in the artist/album/song.mp3 format though.

Plus as said above you can then create a new artist folder called 'Playlists' and create as many as you like inside that as album folders. I just made one called 'latest tunes' and another one called 'new albums'.

Good stuff.

@ The Bear The USB cable isnt slow to transfer at all! much quicker than bluetoothing them. And its exactly the same speed whether you transfer them using windows explorer or disc2phone. As for your question about itunes, cant help you there, never used the service before!

If using the windows version of iTunes, juust go into the settings and set the mp3 folder on your removable drive (the memory stick) as the default itunes mp3 folder.

Then when you record, all the files will go directly to the memory stick and keep their folder structure

Gigs - Awesome! Works great.

I don't even have to create the folders, just drag a new song into iTunes and the folders are automatically created in the MP3 folder when it gets copied.

That means I can update iTunes and my phone at the same time. Awesome!
