If its like my w880i it will not make a shutter sound if you put the phone into silent mode.
Checkout my photos at My Website

And also meeting mode will silence the shutter noise on my w800 with r1L. This should help you get your photos!

I tried the silent mode and turn down the ring volume to 0 but all failed.
I think it is the firmware that come with this phone, I want to change the firmware to EU2 or EU3 and see if the condition persist but don't know where to find it or which application to use to upgrade the firmware.
Com'on guys, these girls are HOT as hell....hehehe

please help me out.

Ok since I got into some scary shiet with the EXACT same problem as you (screwing up my phone) I shall play nice and not be like others who scream USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION... hee hee..

Ok so it is obvious that your particular FW/SW does not allow that silent mode function as the phone makers feel that that region is a sneaky pic city/country?? Anyway, What you need to do is flash your FW/SW to one that does not have such rubbish rules...

Use Davinci, pay 10Euro to but 1 credit to flash your FW/SW/CDA (remember to finalize) to one that allows the silen mode thing.

Unfortunately, I only tried the China FW/SW/CDA and am only sure it works on that.

Maybe we should start a thread with all the "Silent Mode" friendly SW/FW/CDA??

Well, now I await your gym babe pics...

in the meantime, just call a free number, then start the camera while still on the call. The camera is muted if used while on a call.

hehe, would love to see the results, but somehow I think the mods will kill this thread real fast if you post such pictures.

I'll just use my imagination!!

There was a discussion awhile ago about the shuttersound of SE phones and it came to the conclusion, that it cannot be turned off. So on the W800 it would be the first time I hear about it that it is possible.

It is most definitely possible. You can flash to certain regions using davinci, or on some firmware you can set ringer to silent to shut up the camera.

My K750 camera can't be silenced with ringer set to silent, but the camera is still muted when used whilst on a call. I've done it a few times and it works perfectly. I see no reason the W800 would be any different in this regard.

I will probably get flamed for this and I am sure the mods will remove my post but I think the originator of this thread is a scumbag for exhibiting this kind of behavior.
