Hello guys!

I got K750i few days ago & then I tried to update its software from their site but I got problems in the middle of update

I was going all the way right, but at the upgrading dialog box it stoped on 51% & the message was:

Quote:

Error in communication with device.

I clicked ok, next one was:

Quote:

Remove & reinsert the Battery.

I tried doing the upgrading process for about 5/6 times but no luck

--> the problem is now I can't use the Camera coz when I try to open it says:

Quote:

Wrong Camera driver version (0.9). Please update camera driver to 4.5 or later.

any Idea how can I update it properly or even go back to previous settings, I also tried Master Reset but thats not helping either...

any way to get back to original/default settings or complete update.

TIA,

Azharstar...

you posted this in the wrong topic....but I think the only solution now is to send it to a SE authorised dealer...where to do you live?

This is a well documented problem. If you do a search here you can find all about it.... I don't think you can fix this yourself

I know it's really risky to leave phone with the service centre, same is with me so I'm waiting for SE website to get it corrected.

@samreen

Mate have you read theire terms and conditions for the service center?

Risky for what reason?....

If your afraid of any arising damage just take detailed pictures of the phone...

Obviously backup your stuff, its the only thing they insist on...

Its not the dark ages... Even if theire a bunch of monkeys...

Thanks for the replies, I tried it many times even using Recovery options but nothing is going to work, anyway I will have to send it to Authorised dealers.

btw I have also contacted SE through their site, lets hope they answer

@Azharstar

Just cover every angle and make sure that you make a point that you want your phone back fixed and in same condition it went in....

Backup your stuff though...

As to theire WEB reply it's at least 48 hours maximum for me... [addsig]

@Leviath

It's risky in the sense that they might hamper the internal parts & replace them to get the genuine parts, they usually do such things in our part of the world.

and which part of the Sony-Ericsson Authorized Service Agents would that be??

If There is even the slight evidence in which such claims would be true..... Sony for one would remove the priviledge of being a authorised agent.....

Since such things are difficult to prove...

I Mean How many people do you know can just take a Original phone in for repair, marking all the internal parts and then and receiving the phone back will open it, take it apart and see what has been replaced with clones....

There must be a lot of pivved Users around there then cause where I come from if that happened they would hang by theire nose hairs... [addsig]
