A dedicated screen protector for pda or camera, or go for the cheaper option and use 3M clear parcel tape. The tape option works for me and you get a roll 20m long for regular replacement as it wears out.

No gumming up problems to report so far. I've only tried the 3M clear parcel tape (you'll be amazed how little of it you use!), and have used it for 12 months on my old K700. Will also be using this method on my W800 to keep the screen sparkling fresh!

yeh the tape options works fine and not only you can cover your screen but you can also cover camera lens, keypad etc. I've used it on 5 mobiles & haven't experienced any problems with that except that sticking it on screen needs to waste some of it if you want bubble free cover. Start from one end & slowly go on covering the rest while rolling your thumb over it to smooth it out.
True love is a rare find so don't let it go once you get it by luck.

i can also suggest you buying a cheap sillicon case, which will perfectly wrap arround your phone and you can protect not only the screen but also the exterior. i'm using such on my 508 and it's scratch free and shiny after 7 months of hard work.
