Hey guys, Im gettin my k750 in a few days and had the idea of puttin my backed up dvd's onto the phone. I understand it plays .3gp as i use to put music vidz on my old k700, but since I also ordered a 1gig Pro Duo card, Im thinkin maybe i can take it one step forward.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to go about converting dvd's or .avi files to the right format/size/ect .... or tell me if its even possible?

Also, im considering the w800i firmware, but wnat to know what other people think. Is it actually worth it, any regrets?

Thanks,

Sunny

Q1: Convertion guide using best possible converter and settings:

http://spawnweb.dk/recode/k750.htm

Q2: all you get is a slightly different musicplayer and a "stupid" flightmode, but you loose the activitymenufunction.

Definately not worth the hasle, the cost, the risk of a poor firmwareflash leaving your phone dead, the loss of future official firmwareupgrades and the loss of manufacture warranty.

Bo

Sometimes I realise that I'm far too old to be saying 'Bo'.
Oh well, word to your mother. Peace out.
