please help me in connecting pc to the internet through the airtel 99Rs gprs package.
airtel customer care told me that i can open any page.
and i want to connect to the internet through this package. please help me.when i tried to connect it says ppp link control protocol was terminated. what is the problem .what should i do to get connected .please say me the steps so that i can get connected.

Please furnish more details. How are you connecting your phone to the pc? Which phone? Are you sure yours is web gprs and not wap only gprs?

i am having a nokia 3230 and connecting the fone with dku2 datacable.it is a web gprs.

Strange....where are you located....also chek the internet settings and tell us what the name of the access point is..

i am having a net on phone 99rs package by my airtel and i am able to open all the web page from my phone . But i dont know how to connect to internet through data cable (nokia 3230 dku2) in the pc . When i connect it is saying ppp network control protocol was terminated . My access point name is airtelwap.com . I want to tell this i am browsing this html page with my phone .

Yours is wap gprs. Your apn should be airtelgprs.com to access all sites.

Can you access google and sites like that? If yes, you're lucky! because full gprs on airtel in T.N is 600 bucks a month!

with wap gprs, browsing on pc won't be possible..you need to subscribe to Mobile office for that....cheers

Then you cannot get net on pc. And one more thing, as you have said you are able to access all web sites on your phone, it means youve somehow broken the firewall . There is a risk in it, your balance may reduce to 0 any time (if you r using prepaid, that is.)
