Hi all. bought myself the above device about 2 months ago, great stuff it is indeed! only have 1 problem with it and that is when i write an SMS it seems to count additional characters that do not appear on screen. im abit worried that when writing a long message that i may get charged for more txt's than there actually are. when cut and paste to word it counts less words and letters. is this a problem with the Jam or a bug with Windows 2003SE? any help appreciated. thanks.

I thought it was this: go to Start » Settings » Personal » Input » Word Completion » turn off "Replace text as you type". Also avoid using ë's, ô's, etc.

the problem im having is that when writing SMS there is a counter under the text (eg 30/160). sometimes it will get to about 70/160 them change to 1/2, as in 1st letter of 2nd linked SMS. where does the other 90 characters goto of the first SMS in the chain?

I saw the same thing on my JAM too.

However, I don't send too many SMS so never bothered to check if the recipient recived multiple SMS and no one ever commented to me that they did

just send one to a friend and try it out

yes i have noticed this on my nokia 6630 as well, the problem i found that everytime i pushed the space bar on the 6630 it counts as a text right? but when you go back it still counts it as a txt, so what you do is delete the space then the counts txt will go down which will give you more room to fit in 160 character. i hope you understood what i have wrote try it.
