Putting a t610 LCD screen in a t637? |

I've spent the last two days searching to try to find out if this has been covered, but to no avail. Hopefully someone can help me or point me in the direction. Btw, this is my first post on this forum, even though i've read it for over a year now.
Okay, so i broke the screen on t637 (big crack through the middle, but it still *technically* works; the huge dead spot in the middle is obnoxious, though) and I'm trying to replace it with the screen from my buddie's old t610. Whenever I power on my t637 with his screen, however, the screen just lights up blue and stays there.
Is it a problem with the firmware on the t637? When I go to the service menu on my t637, it says:
LCD SW Versions:
Test: 782465
Current: 200401162
I know that the firmware on a t610 has to be updated to have a t637 screen in it, but I didn't know if it was vice-versa. I've heard that this is because the resolution on the t637 is higher than the t610 screen supports. If this is true, is there anyway to tweak my t637 to the lower t610 resolution?
If anyone has any advice, that'd be awesome! |

As you need to flash a T610 with T630 firmware to put the T630 screen in a T610 (I have one of those!) I suspect it will be the same for what you want to do, the phone will need flashing back to a T610 phone in order for that screen to work.
You could get a T630 screen cheaply off Ebay, they're pretty cheap now
