On the latest news part of davinciteam.com, for 9-26:
Firmware added to our FTP
- W800 R1L002, EU and EMEA languages (service cable needed for flashing)
Is this the "red" firmware that we have been waiting for so we can flash our k750's to W800's? Or is this still brown and we must wait longer?

Firmwares are not brown nor red.
Phone's CID is, you can change a phone from brown to red without reflash. [addsig]

Could you please go into a little more detail about this? I haven't seen anything along these lines before.

The impression I have been under is that we are waiting for a retail w800 phone to have its firmware read off, which has to happen *before* the phone has ever been turned on.

If the firmware does not come in brown/red "colours", does this mean that other than the improvements in R2N0035 (which are not much to people like myself) there is no advantage in waiting instead of using the R2L firmware that Davinci currently have?

Many thanks for any extra info anyone can give on this, I'm now thoroughly confused
