this is getting really annoying. i ve tried to install the card reader that i got in the package together with my hpm-10 on windows xp for hours now! i cant get it to work at all... can someone who got it installed on xp please help? the thing is that the system wont recognise (spell?) it at all, so the setup program doesnt seem to install any drivers - and ive tried to run setup in compability mode for 95 98 nt 2000, and nothing works! i read a thread (i think it was "getting to know your mp3 player" or something) where some info on this subject were written, but the thing is that ive tried the tips i got from there and it still doesnt work! aarrgh, im really frustrated !!! i want my mp3 -player!
so, please, anyone?
(yeah, and i dont really wanna spend money on a new urb-card reader, in the first place. it is the last thing im gonna do in order to get everything to work. my economy isnt as stable as it should be )

where are you? Which country? Let me know your e-mail address and I will send you drivers that work on my XP. I got them from the company in Basingstoke, UK.

Had the same problem with XP - i simpley fetched the updated driver. Two secs and I'll give you an indirect link (dunno if direct linking is allowed so I'll keep away from that).
But I had the same problem. After the installation I received an error message saying that a severe error had happened and I should try to restart.

alright...
goto: http://www.sonyericsson.com
Choose global support area from the right side.
Put 'HPM-10' in the product finder textfield
Choose 'Drivers, scripts and patches' under 'software'
and... Voila

The two files that I was told to use are called :-
epmmc2k - a system file 145 Kb
epmmc2k - setup information 2 Kb.
I was told to delete from the hardware profile the device called Shuttle Etapi and then when installing the new hardware ignore the way windows wants to install and add the new hardware for myself.
This involved associated the new, but yet unknown for Windows Xp, hardware , as a system device with the two epmmc2k files.
All worked well after...
The company that advised me is on +44 1256 397719
I will e-mail these two files to anyone that wants them, let me know e-mail address!
