According to Metulj at Prodigits, F-Secure have detected a new Symbian/PC hybrid virus called Cardtrap.A which exhibits trojan characteristics. Do not download a file called Black_Symbian.sis. More details at S60 forum, Prodigits. Trial anti-virus software from http://www.f-secure.com

Apparently it installs the Win32/Padobot.Z and Win32/Rays nasties onto the mmc. When the mmc is accessed from a pc, these buggers disguise themselves as sys.exe files, and do their best to cause havoc untold... Forewarned is forearmed etc etc etc

There seem to be a proliferation of new virii. It would appear that Wallace who wrote the first Cabir virus (if memory serves, i'm not too sure of his name) has been trying his hand at some new malware, according to unconfirmed reports. Best bet is to keep tabs on http://www.f-secure.com who seem to be the first with fresh news.
