Just got one today, so far very impressed with it, better build quality than the K750i, and feels nicer in the hand than the K750i, but with out the extra memory, which for me is no real problem, but what a nice phone. Not much on esato about it, so I assume not many have got this phone. Just like to hear of anyone who has one, and what they think of it.

I've been using the K600i for almost 2 months now. But most of the time, I carry the w800i with me.
Ofcourse i like the k600i, because of it's 3G-capability, but there are a few things that are not that attractive about this phone. First of all, i'm a camera 'freak' and i love the 2 megapixel on the k750i/w800i.
The 1.3 MP camera on the k600 is not very good. I'd rather want to use my S700 to take pictures, than this one. Try taking pictures at night, you will definitly see the difference.
Also, it's memory is very small. 33MB ... what about the music downloads (3G) and the 1.3 MP pictures? A Memory Stick Duo (Pro) card slot would be useful in here.
But we can't complain, it's not a bad phone. Not at all. And we've got to keep in mind that it has been designed (as far as I know) more early than the k750i/w800i. |

I am currently using the K600 coming from a K750. What I can say is that I am disappointed with the number keys and camera resolution. The joystick is one of the best from , but the number keys are probably the worst. They are not high enough, so you can't feel them. I have a K600 without dictionary in my native language. I therefore have to write some text messages the "old way", pressing the number button 7 four times to write an "s". In one of three times, pressing 7 four times ends up in an "r". Because of this I have to verify every single character typed.
The lack of additional memory card is of course a drawback for some. I haven't missed it yet. Maybe it's because I don't use the camera very much due to lower/bad resolution quality.
I think the K600 design is elegant and classic. The cover is well built and the way you remove the battery protection is something we should hope for in future models.
- Very small considering it's a 3G phone.
- Relatively poor battery capacity
- Elegant/classic design
- Using old connectors for chargers, headset etc.
- Bad number keys

Looks like Laffen just made a 'short' review with the K600 back there I guess I will still go for the K750i here . . . .

I know exactly what you are saying about some of the downs with the K600i, and as I am using a K750i as well, alot of the downs do not matter to me. If you were after a phone to do all the things the K750i does then it is the baby, but as an everyday phone I think the K600i is great, the build quality is second to none, but the lack of external memory is a big miss, and I agree with you on how the battery cover fits, it is a great idea. Thanks for all the input, I am still playing about with it, and so far love it. One feature I do like allot, is that when you want to change from 3g to GSM, there is no need to reboot the phone like on Nokias. This feature is great, as I do not have 3g reception in my area, but most places I visit day to day do, so being able to switch back and forth easily is a big plus.
