Just had my T65 upgraded to the newest firmware R5A at Smartnet here in the Phils. I really didn't have too much of a problem with my previous firmware which was R4A but wanted to see new features of the new one. The new one causes my phone to hang more often, has these weird symbols inserted along with the quotation marks and stuff. It even has a chinese or Japanese symbol!?!? And when you choose that and certain other symbols, it becomes SMS 2 already even if it is just the start of the message. Wish I could downgrade back to R4A but people at Smartnet said once you upgrade, they don't have old firmware anymore so you can't downgrade! What a bummer!

Hmmm.... Our T65 was upgraded to R5A010 euro and does not have the problems you mentioned. I suggest you have it re-flashed.

it's recommended that you do a master reset after software update on T65, this since the settings from previous versions (WAP-settings, profilesetting etc) can cause problems in new versions.

yeah.... some are lucky and don't need to reset it after update... might depend a bit on what settings you change...

Thanks Cytech! I did a master reset on my T65 and so far so good! It hasn't restarted/reset yet; the CHinese? ?symbols have disappeared and my phone book is now complete; unlike before, there were some missing entries which I couldn't even delete. I have configured my email and can now even send! Yehey! : Problem only now is the WAP. Whenever I try to enter to surf it says "A special command you use to wake up" How weird, plus when you exit, it says you have just received a new voice mail. Actually when you try to enter that menu, it gives a message alert sound, the light blinks faster as if you do have a new message. Any ideas on this???

Hello
I have a T65 with firmware R4A007. I have configured GPRS and work fine but I can't send/receive e-mail.
Can it be a problem of this version of firmware?
Thanks
