Phone Contracts |

I was just wondering, since most (if not all) mobile phone operators are offering the facility to buy online, how do they deal with contracts. I mean if a 17 year old walked into a phone shop and asked for a contract phone the answer would be no. But couldn't anyone buy a contract phone online as long as they have a card to use/borrow and fib about their D.O.B. (remember you only have to be 16 to get debit card)? I mean, what are the chances of them getting caught as long as they pay the bills, and if they did get caught what is likely to happen to them? |

Far better to get a parent/guardian/consenting adult :-) to co-sign/proxy for you. It's less risky, but more than that, why try to be dishonest? If anything went wrong, heaven forbid, you'd certainly not want them asking you for proof of age.
