Ok I just had it done today and well its not looking good, all seems to work but the problem is it just wants to LOCK onto the 2G signal and wont lock onto the 3G signal..I am on 3UK.

I will have to go see these chinese dudes again tomorrow. I need the 3G part of it other wise its of no use.

If I get no joy Mike il probably ask you to try and flash it and see if you have any luck

Did you get an unbranded flash for it?
I have been doing some reading on these and all the Euro firmwares seem to be Voda branded.
There seems to be a lot of problems as well with phones not being able to download or unable to access the web once unlocked.

@Mike.P yeah this is the SX813 Firmware from Hong Kong..even when I try and send my vcf phonebook from my laptop it will except it but thats it, nothing else it wont install it.

@jensenh1 I just did the master reset again..did it before and switched it to auto..it actually makes the situation worse...it will pick the O2 signal for a few seconds then drop and emergency calls is all I get.. I tried to select the network manually and that makes no difference either. I will probably get him to try the voda branded firmware tomorrow and see if that is more stable.

it may just be because you are trying to use a threepay sim card in the phone and may not be any different whatever flash you try!

But why would that be the case..I find that strange as the three sims are UMTS and this is what this phone is marketed on UMTS and not GSM. I will see the guy tomorrow and il try and get the euro firmware instead of the HK one.
