Is there any way to turn off or at least slow down the volume of the sound when you take pictures with the Sony Ericsson K500i? |

possibly only through firmware.
You can take a pic without sound by calling someone (preferably a free number) then starting the cam while the call is connected - atleast that method works with K750, so it's worth a try. Too cumbersome for most situations though. |

it cannot changed. its possible only from firmware only

try putting it in silent. works for me and my fw is nearly the newest.

Some time ago you could use SE Tool and a script I made to delete that sound from the firmware, but the application is obsolete now. Here's a link to my old creation for those who are interested (the script still works, but need special hardware though): http://www.mobile-files.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5139
Today you need to use the Finalization function from the DaVinci Client... then you'll have no shutter sound when the phone is muted.
It's costs 10 euros to buy a credit from DaVinci though. |
