Nokia 3650 = another P800 competitor? |

Nokia will hold a news conference in France today. Nokia has already unveiled six color-screen models this year, but has said it will unveil a further four. Swedish Web site Mobil and newsletter Telekom Online reported that Nokia would unveil the 3650 model, with a big color screen and a built-in digital camera, expected to be available for sale in the first quarter of next year. Could this be another P800 competitor or is it aimed against T68i with the snap-on camera? |

Wow, it even has a MMC slot and can record video! It is also tri-band. Too bad it looks kinda wierd... And, I don't think it is a direct competitor to P800, as it is intended for differend kind of people.
Btw, Nokia also has one more new phone:

With its color screen, MMS and Java it is going to give SE T300 a run for its money. (I won't say what I think this means for the future of SE because I'll only get flamed again. )

All nokias colour screen phones (7650, 7210, 6610, 3650 & 3510i) are 4096 full colour screens, all apart from the 7650 have express-on covers, which the genral public love's, all have mms, which nokia will bring to the mass market.

Yes indeed!
It is very interesting that this newest Nokia can capture video . (Video capture: 3GPP MP4 formats)
Wonder if/when that feature is presented by SonyEricsson!?

Video capture on the P800 should be possible with a third-party software application. If the Development Kit would be free, it would probably already have been done by a shareware programmer. It's not that difficult, you capture at least 12 still frames per second, stitch them together, apply the compression and you're done. |

I too am agreeing with Faca for the first time ever!!
Looking at the size of that phone it is rather P800 like in its dimensions. However I reckon they will change the keypad layout if they release that. It says it has predictive text, but I think it would be unuseable with that layout.
I'm on the verge of being won over by nokia again... |

I am really quite worried about as Nokia, as horible as they are, seem to be overtaking them. Lets just all hope they bring out a new range soon that will kill off Nokia for good!!! (in our dreams!!!) What else could be working on??? they must have almost finished all the current lines thay are in the pipe!!!
Sony Ericsson rule, Nokia just plainly suck ! |
