How many of u use noise filtering software (noiseware...etc) when posting pics?
I've been seeing some very clear pics recently especially indoors which got me thinking that something might be wrong with my K750!
P.S can u please include the firmware u're using?
Thanks every1. |

I never use anything on my pictures, i post them raw, as taken by the camera.
If theres noise in the pictures, then tough, id rather see the true picture than something thats been doctored.
I use R1N035.

@amax
Why dont you explain what noise is instead of mocking him/her?

i don't the official term, but "noise" is basically the dots or lines you get if u take a photo in poor conditions. |

Still got the stock firmware here. Just a query here mates, I hope it's topic-connected. Why is it that when I take pics/photo using my K750i and try to send it to emails/mms, the fone says that the image is big and wants to resize it - taking 'large' photos most of the time here. Can't it send the taken still photo as it is. When I had my K700i then issues like this does not happen. Thanks !

I use noise remover for night and dark photos, like i do with ANY digital camera
Using noise removing software is usual with type of digital camera

I personally think that people should say when they've used something like noiseware or photoshopped pictures in the K750 pics thread and when they've posted 'raw' pictures. It'll aid people who are trying to get an idea of the quality of picture that the phone can produce without the image being manipulated.
@JN - You're back!!!!!!!!! Not seen you for ages!
Sorry, bit off topic there

All my pictures are unedited, straight from the phone. I'm currently on R1N.

I guess the whole idea behind posting pics from our babies is to show ACTUAL quality, not a manipulated one. So I guess it'd always be better if you guys post your "works of art" raw.

@JN - I'll answer u're Q... although its a bit off topic
The pics taken by the K750i using 1632x1224 (2MP) are between 350 and 450Kb in size. MMS has a limit for the size of photo u can send just as there's a limit also for the size of video u can send, IIRC its 160Kb for the video, not too sure about the photo though. The K700 takes VGA pics (640x480) and the maximum pic size was around 90Kb I think. That's why u didn't have a problem with the K700 but have one with the K750. Hope that clears matters up. |

No offense, but a trained photograph will alwys be using "digital darkroom" (via photoshop) not to ruin his photos but to expanse their power of evocation.
Such camera brands as Canon use basic/flat picture quality. I mean, they don't load their final pictures taken with camera with in-built filters or unexpensive jpeg treatments, so that the photographer himself may have at his disposal a clear picture to deal with in Photoshop.
When people here add sharpness, it is clearly aiming at removing "natural" qualities from k750/w800, but on the contrary to improve an already excellent picture quality by pushing things a little upward. I personnally always precise in my posts if I do it. Usually, I only add sharpness and resize the pic, that's all. nothing is done in colour saturation or anything else.
