@cyberjaffa

inactive sim means just that its inactive...

Usually a inactive sim is one that you bought with a new phone and as not been activated yet... common PAYG.

If your Sim is brand new and never been used and is not pre activated then all you need to do is put some credit on it (TOP-UP) via usual methods...

That not being the case just give the SIM operator network a call and give them the SIM nr (printed on it) and ask them to activate it with your details (name, address etc)

On another note a Sim card that as been deactivated by the operator for i.e. Number tranfer to another sim would usually read the on screen message ***Sim Card registration failed***

does that help??? [addsig]

very helpful thanks

why i asked is i was waiting for delivery of a k750i (but its one that you can use any sim on, and didnt have a sim) so i bought a voadafone payt sim

my daughter has had a vodafone payt sim for 2 months and used no bother
i wanted to save time and put numbers onto my sim card so used her unblocked phone to do it then put her sim back (and it worked no bother)
anyways after a week she could not get any network and when i phoned vodafone they said it was a contract phone which was odd as we bought it in a sealed package with payt on it
anyway long story short i had to buy her another sim

anyone else had similar bother
