Hi there !

Since K750 uses version 2.0 Bluetooth (I think does, does it ?), what are the adavnatges of using a BT 2.0 dongle ? Really fast transfers ?

I use a 1.1 dongle (3 years old), and transfer is OK.

Any particular brands ? Good prices ?

Any BT headset v2.0 of good quality? What are the advantages ?

Thanks for that guys and cheers agin !

I have a belkin dongle it works great for all my BT enabled devices...

Belkin BT dongle £19.99

It is faster than 1.1 protocol and to be honest since it is backward compatible why no get it anyway?

You will be fine with something like that...

That Belkin dongle you linked to IS NOT Bluetooth 2.0... it clearly says:

"Offers compatibility with any Bluetooth v1.1 and v1.2-compliant device"

You would not benefit from the additional speed of Bluetooth 2.0 using that Bluetooth 1.1/1.2 dongle!!

Your correct, It isnt BT 2.0...

I suspect the K750i is not BT 2.0 device. -If it were than I am sure SE would make some fuss about that...

Here are some Fact & Features about the K50i:
Facts & Features

If it turns out to be anything is my guess to be BT 1.1v.

If I am wrong well, slap me with a tunafish and call me Bush...

Actually the K750 is a Bluetooth 2.0 device. If you read the developer White Paper on the K750 available from here:

http://developer.sonyericsson[....]ls/phonespecs/p_phonespecs.jsp

you'll see on Page 46 it says "This phone is manufactured to meet Bluetooth Specification 2.0"

Well I heard that... Stand corrected as well as sitting too.

I'll be waiting for that tunafish and the Bush insult anytime... :rolf

And a nice link or 2 to a BT 2.0 dongle...

Link 1

Link 2

Should have read the white paper b4...

Apologies.

The SE750 is not BT2.0. It is just a upfrightend 1.1 with some updates and not complete... they say the phone will meet the BT 2.0 specification, but it is not Bluetooth 2.0!

If you buy a USB BT2.0 dongel, you will increase the speed transfere (BT FTP) with atleast three times.

I got an SE700 and transfered 40MB data through a dongel with version
1.1 - took 45 minutes
1.2 - took 40 minutes
2.0 - took 10 minutes

I bought a Planex BT-01UDE EDR - BT2.0 and the speed really increased even that I do not have BT 2.0 on my phone.
