Does using equalizer settings other than the default "Normal" setting consume noticeably more battery power?
Thanks.

The only possibility that it will cause the battery to drain faster is if you make the sound levels of the different frequencies higher. This makes the phone's amplifier to require more power to produce a louder sound. The difference would be almost insignificant, IMO.

What I meant was, does the phone require more processing power (thus need more battery power) when a manual equalizer setting is used, than when using the plain normal setting?

So, which part did you not understand about my answer? To summarize, if you set the levels in the equalizer up then it also increases the battery power consumption but the difference would be almost insignificant IMO.

Im just glad the battery is so good onthe W800. My K700 only used to last a day but my W800 lasts a few days with heavy use so Im delighted. I was worried that listening to music and playing games would waste it away. |
