W800i: Are these grid-like noise patterns in camera images normal? |

Note right portion of image:
Glass (dark part)
Here, I magnified the lower part of image 3 above and adjusted the brightness/contrast so that the gridlike noise patterns are more noticeable:
Now, are these normal? Or the camera of my phone is defective in some way?
Current firmware is R1L002.
Camera SW version is 4.4
Thanks for anyone who could help me.
Edit:
BTW, the image settings that I used:
Image quality: fine
White balance: auto
(last two images are in macro mode)

I really can't notice the grid-like patterns in the 2nd and 3rd picture but regarding the 1st pic it seems it was quite dark in there when u took the pic. Try using night-mode and see if it gets any better. |

Hi bondock,
On the second picture, look at the topleft part. The vertical lines are more somewhat visible at 100% zoom.
On the third picture, I magnified the bottom part of the glass of iced tea where I noticed the gridlike noise (4th picture). |

It happens on my K750 and my W800, but not as noticeable as yours. They only seem to appear in badly lit areas. My outdoor pics are fantastic.

get yourself a MXE-60 flash accessory & gridlines will be gone.

@Kristianm: You can download a program here that will greatly reduce the noise in your pictures. It's great!

Thanks everyone for your replies.
@dgilmartin, yeah, that's why I'm worried if there's something wrong with my phone's camera. My outdoor pics for example, are looking great, but I've noticed that dark areas of the picture tend to show those gridlike noise (e.g., taking a picture outdoors in daylight of someone in black shirt -> black shirt in the image have those grid pattern on closer inspection).
