hi everyone

my two month old k750 just gave up the ghost.

I've been having the stock standard joystick problems for about a month, but whilst inconvenient they weren't life threatening. A week ago, the phone decided to push the envelope a bit - swapping sim cards, new sim card in, phone turns on, screen lights up white for one second... then turns off again. nothing - plugging into the charger, etc - will fix it. If I take the battery out, it lets me get the white screen again - otherwise, it won't even give me that.

I'm not happy - this is a two month old phone and it died (and left me stranded in a non-english speaking country without any phone numbers. grrr).

I'm talking to vfone right now, but the upside is that the phone has been flashed (within a day of purchasing - did not cause any probs) so I imagine that too will be a fight.

I had used both sims previously with the phone fine. I've since used both sims with another phone and they're fine (and so is the other phone). it's just one very dead k750

if I had data on the phone that I wanted to get back - is it likely that if it's sent in for repair, that I will get it back?>

Thx

Sounds like you might have corrupted the GDFS somehow. It needs to be reflashed (at a SE service centre for free).

James, where exactly are you? Any chance of getting it to a SE service centre there maybe?

Well, sign-language works, should nobody at the service centre speak English. Just point at your phone and repeat "it's f***ed" over and over... They'll understand...

Sorry about that. I hope you can find a SE center quickly.
