have sony stopped making phones with metal backs? |

I want a new phone, i was looking to get the k750 or w800 but i want one with a metal back cover but it has to be like the next best thing like the t610 was and k700i are sony planning on releasing any anytime soon? |

Well i'm pretty sure that the bottom half of the slide cover over the k750 camera is metal, but I take it thats not enough... |

it makes the phone look better, thats the reason i fell for the t610 and k700, i dont like phones with are all plastic and they feel somewhat cheap where metal make them feel stronger and more expensive looking. |

the front of the K600 is metal.
a metal back would've been nice and usefull, not like on the K700 plastic on the front and metal on the back.
everybody knows the front is the most looked at place so scratches would be most noticed at that end.

acctually neither k700 or k750 have any metal on the back cover.
its all plastic with brushed aluminum finnish. dont have t610 but quite sure thats plastic too!!!
if you dont believe me get a screwdriver and proove me wrong!!!

T610 battery cover is a plastic piece that is skinned with metal (aluminuim?). I have hella scratches on mine to prove it. It's also dented in two spots.
I beat the crap out of my phones.

how can you be more sure than the t610 owner.
i have a dent, .5mm deep in my back cover and you can see metal shining through it. if you want i can attach image.
actually t610 has plastic base, then aluminium layer (almost 1mm) and then brushed aluminium finish. so there's no chance to make scratch that reach plastic. unless you're very persistant

ok, i love them metal effect on the back, i know there just a lsyer on top of the plastic but it makes the phone look classy and stylish, bit like the v3. |

The only SE /Ericsson Phones with a proper metal back (not plastic with a thin sliver of metal) was the T28, T39, R520, R320 and R380. These phones had a magnesium alloy back to them. |
