In room condition it's difficult 2 take nice pix unless there's nice light. When u take pix the light must be behind u.If u want better quality pix take them in daylight. |

with VGA phone cams like K700, K500, Z520, etc. IMO using night mode only makes images look uglier so don't use it. For grainy images taken in a poorly lit environment, I'd suggest using a good software to reduce/remove noise or enhance the contrast and brightness of the images, e.g. Photoshop, Neat Image.

@blackspot - My GOODNESS I've been usingthe NIGHT MODE most of my shots even in OUTDOORS - K700i I know though that it will be helpful (in a way) when taking shots in places where there are POOR LIGHTING conditions, say like parking areas in the malls etc.

I use T630 and use the night mode when there is poor light, the cuality on the screen seems the same and I also use the brightnes and saturation control with the joystick even in sunny days. it makes quite a difference

i'm not so sure about this, but night mode on previous SE phones (T610, K500i, K700i, etc...) doesn't function like it should. it makes the picture look worse! but in newer SE phones (S700i, K750i, etc...), night mode seems to function normally...
SE T68i (Feb2004-May2004) SE T610 (Sep2004-Jun2005) SE K700i (Jun2005-Sep2005) SE S700i (Sep2005-Present) |

Sometimes using the exposure compensation 1/3 or 2/3 step down will help you to avoid some high noise or shaking effect in poor lightning conditions, and the picture won't be too underexposed. But check twice, you don't want your pictures to be too dark.
And remember to increase exposure up to 2/3 or 1 step when taking pics in the snowy environments. Your cam won't understand if there is snow everywhere, and it will try to darken the picture. In result, the picture will be too dark if you don't override auto exposure (I think it tries to create 17% white-grey weight in the color spectrum, but it is more than 17% when it snows).
May the ligth be with you!
