I just received my K750i (yeah!) - but it came with a European wall charger. Is this supposed to be the case - did everyone else buy /changeout their wall charger for a US version after purchase?

Yes, it is normal since the phone is not meant to be sold in the US of A. You can purchase a made for USA wall charger from Sony Ericsson USA.

go to Radio Shack and buy an adaptor. Its only a dollar or two. |
