k750i R1N firmware and Record sound issue |

I have been using my K750i as a voice recorder in meetings in the past. It works fine with R1L firmware before. I flashed my K750i (with 1GB MS pro duo) to R1N firmware yesterday. In today's meeting, I used my K750i's Record Sound to record a meeting as before. However, something went wrong after recording for 120 mins (about 10MB in size). As I scrolled through the file list in K750i file manager to locate that recorded sound file, the scrolling was very jerky, and the phone appeared to be stuck on a particular file. After waiting for about a minute, the phone somehow recovered by itself. and I may continue to scroll to the recorded sound file. As I tried to view the 'Information' of that sound file, the phone appears hanging again. Anyone has experienced similar issue after flashing?

no, havent had any problems after update
one question, what fat table did you format the DUO with ?
It should be formatted with the normal FAT table, not FAT32

FAT16 is what I used......
Is the jerkiness due to the slower menu? I tried to reproduce the problem again by recording sound for 10 minutes, and same thing still happened.

Regarding the issue I have, I flashed my K750i back to R1L, and there was no slowness in scrolling the file folders with large sound files or video files, etc. I read from other forums that some other users have problems with transferring large files to K750i with R1N firmware. Another person reported the same issue as I do. It appears that R1N did indeed perform slower than R1L.
After flashing back my phone to K750i, such slowness occurred again. Seems like R1N had fixed number of problems but also introduced a bit as well. Sigh~ |
