been trying to get an upgrade from them, when i finally get a decent deal out of them they say sorry the w800i is sold out, please phone back at the end of the month.
its really pissing me off now, 2 months in a row.
they can never give an exact date of when the phone is in stock and whats worse they cant even put your name down for it which is ridiculous. |

Yeh mate, been 2 months now.
was prepared to jus cut my line rental in half for £15 for the 500 off peak/500 text and then wen i said i want that phone she said cant do anyting at all, u gotta phone end of month.
im pissed off that they dont even tell me a date.
also said i have to pay £200 for the phone!!! fuming !!
in the end i had a go at her and she said actually you will have to pay £50 for it.
its still alot considering i want a FREE upgrade ! |

they just told me today it would be £100 to upgrade when it comes out, end of october at the earliest. so i said i just wanted to upgrade, without getting a new handset, she offered me £100 cashback there and then.
so i got...
400 any network any time mins
1000 texts
£30 a month
and £100 cashback.
and i just bought a w800 on ebay for £246.
not bad at all i reckon

Ordered one on a new contract friday, supposed to be getting delivered monday before 5pm, maybe they're keeping them for 'new customers onlyeee' same as thay bank in the TV advert Had a welcome email etc, and no mention of being out of stock. |

lol i got the same result, i have had my phone for about 4 weeks now from o2, they told me they were out of stock. i just sed ok orange have them in stock so can you put me through to cancelations just puts out the stops once again. got it withing 3 days , give it a try, my brother did the same a week later and got told they dont have one single phone until 1st of oct. |

I wonder though, if I went into an 02 shop and asked for the upgrade, if they has the w800 in stock; would they give me the phone? |

its doing my head in.
the date today is 18th september, so i recon il phone them on saturday the 24th. might as well give it a try, it isnt the complete end of the month but still, not far off. |

o2 Customer service is a joke. Once, I phoned them up out of interest, (i'm on orange), and they claimed 'sorry we're evacuating the building' call back tomorrow. 1 minute later, called back, got the same woman, "Hello sir. how may I help?" OMG.

I spoke to O2 upgrades today, the w800i is back in stock as of yesterday (Monday afternoon), ordered mine although the woman at the other end tried to persuade me to order anything but... I guess they have limited stock. |

Comon guys...you have to realise that everyone who's eligable for an upgrade is looking for either the W800i or the 8800 - which incidently are both in VERY short supply. I work for one of the networks but everywhere's the same right now, not just O2. Same thing happened with the K750i remember? I had to wait at least 1 1/2 months after it had been released before I got mine.
