Hi, I just got a HBH-662 (as an advance present for my birthday to come). Nice little thingy...

Anyways, I paired it with my P910 and it works magnificently. Then I thought, hold on a sec, let's try and pair it with my T39m and see if it works with both, i.e. the headset will pick up a call on either phone.

Well after pairing it with the T39, I noticed that the BT headset on the P910 was gone and it only displayed the BT icon. I tried to call the P910 and guess what, the P910 automatically repaired with the 662 and picked up the call.

However, when calling the T39m, it did not automatically repair with the 662.

So my question to you is this: can another SE phone automatically repair with the 662, or is it just the P910 that has this rather brilliant capability?

I'm especially interested if the K600 has this - I'm thinking of buying one since I've got my GF a Z800.

Now I distinctly remember this forum being actually helpful at some point in time...

No biggie, I'll just try this when I get home with my GF's Z800 - almost same firmware as the K600 so I should be able to tell if it's working or not.

It's not that nobody wants to be helpful, it's just that I don't think that there is a lot of people that have a P910 and a T39 or a similar combination of phones that can duplicate what you did. Most of the time, a lot of people are complaining about how to keep their BT headsets connected with the phone that they do have. Though I am surprised that your headset did this as I thought that the newer BT headsets by SE are only supposed to be paired with one phone at a time.

Well, according to my sig I have both a P910 and a T39m, so...

Its down to the version of BlueTooth on the phone me thinks. The T39m, being the first phone with BT, has BT 1.0. I believe the P910i has BT 1.2. And the HBH-662 is BT 1.2 too.

BTW, the HBH-662 (being BT 1.2) supports pairing upto 7 different devices. The older headsets (HBH-660 and such like) only can pair with one device at a time.

Now this is indeed Esato-style helpful.

@randomtask77: BTW, i didn't ask to replicate what I did with a P910 and a T39, I was interested in seeing how other SE phones would behave.

@happycheese cake (hope I got it right): I tried the same experiment with P910 and Z800. Once the Z800 got a hold of the 662, the P910 couldn't acquire it any longer (guess that's due to Z800's headset profile which the T39 lacks). Are you positive the 662 may be paired with multiple phones?

Yep, the HBH-662 can be paired with up to 7 devices. I've got 2 K750i's, a P910, a T630, a T39m, a R520m. All have been paired with my HBH-662. But only ONE phone can connect to the headset at any one time.

Some phones (like the T630) only connect if necessary; like if the phone rings or the headset button is pressed. But my K750i's attempt to keep a connection at all times.

I'll do some testing tomorrow between my T39m, P910, T630 and one of my K750i's to see which ones connect first.
