thank you very much batesie. i have a list of many more mobile phones. but the screen dimensions are not mentioned. the display pixels are mentioned. so i wanted to know if the screem dimension can be found out. also i wanted to know how to find out if a mobile is picture enabled (gif/png/bmp)

best to check on each individual manufacturer website, and look specifically.

i think you'll find the esato list had most of the important features listed [addsig]

thank you once again. yes the esato has a lot of info. i liked the website very much. I checked the individual manufacturers sites like Nokia, SonyEricsson and they do not have the screen dimensions mentioned. They only mention the pixels which is not of much use to me.

I wanted to know the approximate number of mobile phones listed on esato. preferably the number of coloured display mobiles. also wanted to know what the unit used in display width and height is?

thank you very much.

thank you johnex. but the problem is some pages are invalid. they are not in a series. either way, i suppose, i am going to get only an approximation as i had originally requested.

No, there is a variable in the website language php called $_SERVER['HEADER_ACCEPT'] which stores browser accept files types, then you can see if you can match the image file types to see if the phone supports them.

Actually,if you are refering to physical screen size that you want to find ,i think you cannot find it from the amount of pixels.

precisely true. it will depend on the dots per inch of the lcd. but is there any source for the physical size. the standard unit is pixel in every possible source i could ransack.

Just wondering if you have tried gsmarena.com . What is the intended use of the information.
