Played with one of these the other day, and from what I could see, it remembered playlist position when the player was closed.

Can someone with a w800 confirm this?

Start your music player (with play/pause button), then skip ahead a few tracks, then hit play/pause button so the media player has gone away.
Then hit play/pause again, and see which song it is playing.

If you can, could you please try the same thing, but turn the phone off in between?

The reason that this feature is extremely useful is that Audiobooks come in segments, for instance one of the books I am listening to on my iPod at the moment is made of 200 parts. If I get a call, or have to stop listening quickly, then I lose position on the k750 -- hence I can't use it and have to continue to lug around my iPod Shuffle.

I'm hoping to flash across to the w800 firmware as soon as the red version comes out, but it'd be great to know that it works the way I think it does first.

Thanks in advance to any w800 owners who try this

Maelstrom: Hmm, when I´m listining to mp3 on my k750 and minimized the mediaplayer, it will remember where it was after I hit the pause button or answering an incoming call or making a call. Wasn´t that the functionality you where loking for ?

L00ser, thanks for responding Unfortunately, I'm really looking for feedback from people with a w800 or a k750 running the w800 firmware - I've got a k750 at the moment, and am looking at flashing it to a w800, so I've played around with it a bit.

The problem with the k750 lies in the fact that you have to have the player minimised for play/pause to remember position as it forgets every time you exit the player and you have to have the headphones plugged in for the play/pause button to work.

With the w800 I tried at the store, I could just hit play/pause and it would start playing from wherever you are in the playlist. You didn't need the handsfree in, and you didn't need to have the player minimised. Basically just hit play/pause whenever you feel like it to stop and start your audiobook, with absolutely zero dicking around (other than possibly when you turn the phone off).

So if any w800/k750-to-w800 owners are reading this with a minute or two spare, feedback would be very helpful!

Have to ask this, since when does flashing the firmware on your phone get the magic monkeys to bring you a nice new HPM-70 for free [addsig]

I think that flashing W800i on K750i will void SEUS update feature.
Because i think SEUS looks at IMEI and detects a K750i not a W800i.
