hello guys!
my k700 has a problem. even though the handsfree is not connected to the phone, the radio works and the speaker doesnt. just as if the handsfree were connected. i tried a master reset, but no joy. is there any way out of this without going to a service center? thanx a lot!

If the phone is in silent mode (as it usually is when the handsfree is connected) , change the mode
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt !!

i dont think silent mode has anything to do with the speaker. the loudspeaker, yes, but not the speaker of the phone.even so, even in normal profile, the same thing happens...

You mean the radio works even without the handsfree connected?

exactly! the phone acts just as if the handsfree were connected. no sound from the speaker, radio works. sometimes when i restart it, it goes back to normal, but in a few minutes "recognizes" the handsfree again. damn!

Bring it to the SE service center... something must be really wrong with your mobile... it isn't a normal behaviour, not at all!

Give it a last chance: make a master reset but before doing it backup all your data (phonebook, images, sounds,... except games/applications because you can't downlood them from your mobile and will be probably lost) somewhere (PC. Palm...)

Ciao!

Sounds like a problem with the handsfree connector on the phone. I had this problem with a T68i where it would keep going into handsfree mode, the problem with that I think was a bit of water damage in/around the handsfree and charging port at the bottom of the phone.

Also try giving the contacts a good clean with something like a toothbrush, try to get any dirt out of the contacts and see if that makes any difference.
