R600 : Is the battery really that bad ?!! |

Hi,
I really wanted to buy the R600 due to its good looks, simple functions (I'm not a heavy user) and of course affordable price. Oh, and it is not Nokia! However, I have read a lot of bad reviews in this forum and also other forums around the globe that the battery is REALLY REALLY bad. After 2 months of use or so, the standby time lasted only approx 2 days and the talk time less than 2 hours !!!! I believe this is not the standard battery life. Is this true?? I would really require inputs from the users of the phone. Am I making the right decisions? How about complaints that it seldoms hangs etc?
My other option will then be T65 or T200. Both are reported to better in the battery `department'. However, it not as slick looking as R600. Looks wise, I'll go for R600. However, if the battery is a big concern, I'll may opt for T65 or T200.
TQ

Didn't I answer this somewhere else already?
The phone rules. No problem with battery life for me. Three-four days without GPRS. With lots of GPRS 2 days maybe. But that is not the end of the world, just plug it in whenever you can. 30 minutes every other day is enough. It's not like you go camping in the woods three days on a row, all year around.
I like it better than T68 (or T65). The wap-browser feels more responsive. I like the standard front-menu better than what's on T68 as well. The only thing with it that sucks is that it doesn't have T9.
If you compare with 3310, it blows the competition away. It weighs like half as much, has a calendar, grey-scale display, looks better and is much smaller.
That's just my two cents. |

Thanx for the input guys. How long have you guys used the phone? For your info, I am not really gonna use the GPRS too much. Basically just to make and received calls. I've read somewhere that it is not the battery that is having the problem. It is the way the phone is design that it is draining the battery ! Any comments??!!
