Hi guys,
I thought about opening this thread as many of us seek specific information about that particular aspect of k750.
Here's what I found on the net on another forum:
"My girlfriend has a Sony Ericsson K750i and aside from the truly awesome camera that comes with it, it has a very good web browser. Its built-in browser recognises the handheld media stylesheet and displayed virtually all web-pages I tested it with. The way it displays forms is truly terrific."
How does this guy do it?
Here you can post:
- Specific XHTML websites (supposedly, the only ones our dear phone can surf)
- settings
- etc etc...

Ok people, if a page does not show up on your mobile it's either because it has sloppy code or it's too heavy for the phone. Point !

Are you under a "wap only" gprs plan?

Quite beautiful at this time of year, though we went through very severe weather, which is quite unusual for Nice !
Opera Mini is indeed a great thing, but I still can't do anything with it...
I must be, I guess, on a GPS plan only...

I think the main prob with viewin full websites using the standart browser relates to the cache restrictions on the handset-for example on smartphones you ban increase or decrease this but on mobiles such as k750 or w800 you can't! What you guys think?

u need to check the "HTTP" box in order to use Opera Mini, or any Java applications. try it and it will work! If you dont know what i am talking about, follow these instructions:
Settings>Connectivity>Internet settings>Internet Profiles> choose the current profile then 'More' option, then Settings. then change you internet mode to HTTP, click SAVE...
launch Opera...! enjoy!!

@neox: I use a T610 on a full gprs web plan. how do I activate HTTP mode on my phone? I already have the opera mini application, but can't run it.

Do the same with Settings for Java, i.e. :
Settings>Connectivity>Settings for Java>Internet Profiles> choose the current profile then 'More' option, then Settings. then change you internet mode to HTTP, click SAVE...
launch Opera...! enjoy!!

not necessarily. it would depend on what kind of gprs service your operator has enabled for your account. for e.g. i have full web gprs enabled, and opera mini works fine, irrespective of whether i select wap mr html in the internet profile settings. |
