T616 cracked screen, help with copying to SIM card! |

Hello, I finally after a few years apparently sat on my beautiful T616 just right so I cracked the screen.  Now I cant see anything on screen other than the fact that the phone is on....!!
Can somebody tell me the button clicks I must do to copy my phonebook out of the phone and on to the SIM card? I know the method is.
a. Right arrow (menu)
b. Press 8 (phonebook)
c. Some number of up or down arrow movements to "Advanced"
d. Some number of up or down arrow movements to "Copy to SIM"
e. right or left button (just below screen, not sure which one) to confirm copy to SIM.
Can somebody help me fill out the unknown steps c, d and e, and confirm that these are all the buttons I must push? I simply want to copy to the SIM so that I may have all my phone numbers when I move to the new phone when I get it!

not sure if the menu is the same as my t610 but if so, it is 5 for the phonebook, 9 for advanced, and 4 for copy to sim, and then the right softkey is yes.
hope it helps..
you may want to find someone with bluetooth on their pc if you dont have it and use fma to backup your contacts if this doesn't work.. |

There must be slight differences because I am certain that the phonebook is 8. Once I was in there (I can see about 0.5cm square of the screen right at the top only), I can see it say phonebook, and then I can see it say "advanced" when I press 9, but I am not sure it is doing anything when I press 4 and then the right softkey (though it probably is). Does anybody know for sure if the 4 and the right softkey is still "Copy to SIM" on the T616?

it is 8 for phone book and 9 for advanced, however, the user manual does not state which number it is to copy all to sim, but if the manual makes sense it would be option two of advanced. the left softkey should always be yes. and beware this does take some time to complete. if i were you i would find someone with bluetooth on their pc.... or just try all the different options under advanced, as copying all from sim does not erase your phone memory, so you would have all your contacts..... | |
