I bought my phone on the 4th week of August and it came with R1L002, its week 26 so I doubt that week 27 would be 1st or 2nd week of July.
The number must stand for something other than the week of production coz if u count up from beg. of June (when the phone first started rolling off) till now, its not 27 weeks!
@dr.david..when did u buy u're phone? |

All Ericsson and SE phones since about the T28 has had the date mark represented like 04w51.
The first number is the year and the second number is the week in the year.
05w01 would be made the first week of 2005 ie 1st to 7th of jan 2005.
This is regularly used in business.

Dont forget that the phone would have been made in China in week 27. It then needs to get to the UK (or wherever it is going to). It then has to get to the central warehouse. after the central warehouse it goes to the retailers warehouse or shop. This all takes time. Some things take a few weeks to get through customs and as mentoined can sit in a warehouse for a few weeks.

I think its the week in the year that the phone was built, not how many weeks since production started. Anyway mine is week 22

Oh lord!
Another senseless topic.
Of course a DATE CODE talks about the week of the year, NOT the week since the phone went into production!!
@dr.david?
K750 A???
That doesn't even exist!! Please!!
SonyEricsson uses the 'a' after a cell phone model number to indicate 'america' (using the term loosely, of course) or the US, and usually those phones have the "Worldwide" ( ) 850 frequency that is used in north america. (Because they have to have something different and/or special)
Anyway, the K750i was never released in such version, it's not even listed on the SE US website....In fact, I bought my cell phone in NYC (well, thru internet) almost two months ago while I was there on vacation, and when I called the SE 800 number regarding a problem I had with the phone's camera (K750i), the operator clearly said: "That model hasn't been released in the United States, and I'm not sure when are we gonna be getting it"
